Come What May

Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman – Come What May, from Moulin Rouge

Possibly one of the most tragically romantic musical moments ever in films … well films that I’ve seen anyway (she dies … shhhh). Love this.

The words released …

Never knew I could feel like this
Like I’ve never seen the sky before
I want to vanish inside your kiss
Every day I love you more and more

Suddenly the world seems such a perfect place
Suddenly it moves with such a perfect grace
Suddenly my life doesn’t seem such a waste
It all revolves around you

And there’s no mountain too high
No river too wide
Sing out this song and I’ll be there by your side
Storm clouds may gather
And stars may collide
But I love you, I love you
I love you until the end of time

Come what may
Come what may
I will love you until my dying day

  1. Thanks for sharing this, haven’t seen it for a while now. Sat down to watch this film the first time it came on British TV, hadn’t seen it before, I thought I’d give it 10 minutes, see what it was like – I didn’t move once during the whole film, not even for a cup of tea! Fabulous film, story, music, the cast – not many films I would say that about! šŸ˜€

  2. One of my favorite movies and songs, Baz Luhrman did not get the credit he deserved for putting together this fairly manic and incredibly musical movie. Anything that mashes up Smells Like Teen Spirit with a Bohemian-inspired musical is magic in my eyes.

          1. If you liked Moulin Rouge, you should totally check out Once, or maybe August Rush. I love movies that feature lotsa good music. Those are two of my favorites. Possibly you have seen them already Blue-Blue, but I thought I’d run the names out there cause you are a MR fan, and that is cool.
