Happy Dance

            stomping feet
               and tapping toes

            wiggling hips
               and whirling arms

my feet won’t rest
   songs keep bursting out
my smile is stuck on firmly
   with super superglue

I haven’t been drinking
Mountain Dew
   (not this time)

it’s all because
   of you

  1. This is a brilliant bit of fun!! 😀 And I like the way you’ve laid it out, gives the poem a sense of movement to it which goes with the theme of dancing.

I did a poem a bit like this a couple of months ago leading up to Halloween on a writers site called Jottify http://jottify.com/works/the-best-of-all/ it isn’t my usual style, but it was great fun to do! I hope you don’t mind the link, don’t usually leave a link in a message, but seeing as you are such a good writer of poetry I thought you might like to know about Jottify. I could be telling you something you already know about of course, but if you don’t you might want to check it out. It’s a very friendly site and is a good way to draw some new attention to your blog!
    Suzy 😀

    1. Thank you Suzy 🙂 You’ve set Bruce and I off investigating Jottify tonight – we’d never heard of it before, and it seems really interesting – so thanks for that as well 😀

      1. You are very welcome! 🙂 I just stumbled across it a few months ago through an article I read giving it a brief mention and a link. I’m glad I discovered it before I set up a blog because it helped me get into the a blog mindset, it’s a bit like having your own mini blog in a village of other bloggers! Hope you find it good fun! 😀
